Adding custom messages and announcements for users in the iQ3 Dashboard

[This article is applicable to dashboard admins of companies using Teams and Enterprise subscriptions.]

From our 2021 release, the iQ3Connect Virtual Reality Platform dashboard page will display messages posted by admins. The announcement feature provide a convenient method of keeping users updated on latest information. An announcement is made to users as they login into virtual reality console. The information can related to maintenance of the dashboard, knowledge base, tutorials etc. Or it may be latest information on hardware and software changes that will impact their daily use.

Administrators of dashbaord can see an authoring button (+) on the top right to open a markdown editor. “Markdown is a lightweight markup language that you can use to add formatting elements to plaintext text documents. John Gruber created Markdown in 2004 and it’s now one of the world’s most popular markup languages” (

iQ3Connect adding custom announcements

The authoring tab provides a very easy editor to add your text. It can set parameters, and publish the announcement. There is an option to edit existing dashboard as well.
